“The Pride Center has been transformational for me both in my academic journey as a UGA student and in my personal life. It provides a much-needed affirming community to connect with members of the LGBTQIA+ community at UGA as well as many resources that are helpful to students. I have met many of my closest friends through the Pride Center and learned about resources that are available on campus and in the Athens community that I would have otherwise not been aware of. One event that stands out to me is the Masqueerade event that occurs each year near Halloween. It is a fun opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a great night with friends.”
