PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

A&T, with the help of the UGA J.W. Fanning Institute, launched the inaugural Disability Ambassadors Leadership Development (DALD) Program, empowering students with disabilities to develop leadership, advocacy, and professional skills while fostering a stronger sense of belonging and engagement at UGA.

“My time with the Disability Ambassador team has been especially meaningful, as I’ve found solidarity in connecting with others who face similar challenges. Together, we’ve shared strategies, solutions, and experiences that have helped me manage my disability in positive ways. So, while my disability has made my learning journey a lot harder, I wouldn’t trade
the community it has given me for the world.”
