FY26 HIGHLIGHTS:
Recreational Sports fosters the well-being of students and the UGA community through diverse recreation experiences, promoting healthy lifestyle choices by providing development, growth, and education for the University of Georgia through the spirit of recreation.
900,000+ TOTAL VISITS
to Ramsey Student Center and Pound Hall.
2,479 club sports participants
Club Sports also saw 64 club events hosted, 1,579 intramural teams, 6,462 unique intramural participants and 3,602 intramural games.
14,272 attended group fitness classes
Fitness and Wellness also saw 119 outreach events and 1,132 total personal training sessions. 94% of all group fitness participants responded “Yes” to their levels of well-being increasing.
1,400+ outdoor trip and clinic participants
Outdoor Recreational Sports also saw 3,951 total climbing wall participants, 1,024 total challenge course participants and 1,290 items rented from the Outdoor Recreational Sports center.

$8,000+ awarded in scholarships
including 5 $1,000 student scholarships via annual Rec Sports Student Fund Scholarship Golf Tournament, 3 $1,136 student scholarships from Stafford Family Scholarship Fund, 30 intramural play pass scholarships, 83 outdoor recreational trip scholarships and 127 fitness and wellness group fitness pass scholarships.
