“We were thoroughly impressed and blown away by the entire orientation experience. All of the sessions we attended were well-organized, informative and so full of spirit and enthusiasm – you all truly did a phenomenal job! At the top of my list was the One UGA presentation by the student Orientation Leaders. I had tears in my eyes the entire time and I’m thrilled and relieved that my son could hear those precious stories and testimonials. It went such a long way for my student to hear that college is for trying and sometimes failing and finding your way and growing and hopefully succeeding in becoming the person you were meant to be. We were absolutely floored by that brilliant presentation.

Also, at the top of my list of kudos is for the Orientation Leaders. What an impressive group of students! My husband and I randomly happened to get into a pretty lengthy conversation with [student] in the BDM guest waiting area while we were waiting for our son to check in on the morning of the first day. [Student] was gracious, helpful, and shared some wonderful stories about his experiences at UGA, academics, and fraternity life, and then, by chance, our son was assigned to [student’s] small group and enjoyed it thoroughly. [Student] truly made a significant impact on my student and made him feel that UGA could be his community.
