Engagement, Leadership and Service

FY25 HIGHLIGHTS:

Engagement, Leadership, and Service (ELS) seeks to deliver programs, services, events, and significant learning experiences which strengthen students’ connection to the University, cultivate a sense of community, and empower students to be engaged and contributing leaders. ELS believes student engagement is a pivotal part of an enriched collegiate experience. With ELS, students can join student organizations, participate in and lead service opportunities, engage with leadership trainings and content, coordinate and attend multiple events on campus, and so much more.

$113,400 awarded

in Scholarships and Grants. $103,500 in Scholarships and $9,000 in Student Engagement Grants.

Award winners

Won the Liza Burke Community Spirit and Morehead Academic Achievement and Student Leadership Scholarship awards for the first time

Established Grad LEAD

In partnership with the Graduate School, ELS launched a leadership program with 27 inaugural participants.

2,420 Advance Voting participants

at Tate Student Center. This opportunity was hosted in collaboration with Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections and Student Government Association.
